We work with several types of media from industries including legal, corporate, television production, marketing, etc. Although highly efficient, we are also dedicated to ensuring that each transcription that leaves our offices is free of grammatical errors and inaccuracies. We achieve this by having each transcription double checked by another qualified employee and always proofed against the WHOLE tape.

We are proud of our typists and their abilities to excel in such a diverse field and ensure that all are well educated, industry experienced, bound by a confidentiality agreement, and type at speeds over 70 wpm.

Types of Transcripts

Verbatim
Every “um” and “ah” is translated just as the speaker said it including pauses, stutters and word repetition.

Clear-Verbatim
A clean transcript will be minus all of the verbal ticks—the “ums,” “ahs,” “likes,” and “you knows” are removed to appear as if the document was composed by the speaker.

Multiple Speakers
We strongly recommend that a video copy of the interview be included for name/voice identification and accuracy.

Payment Options

No two clients needs are the same so we offer charges by the line, by the page, and by the recorded minute. Please contact us with your information so that we may together find the pricing plan that is most reasonable for you.

At KMS we believe that many services should be value added. This we believe produces the most loyal return customers and the most professional transcription. Our cover pages are standard, we do not charge extra for headers and footers, and e-mailing your completed documents to any number of addresses is always free.

FAQ’s

What is your turnaround time?
Standard turn around time is 72 hours, Rush is 24 hours, and Hot Rush is as soon as possible but not exceeding 12 hours. Please ask about discounts for lengthier time lines.

Are you able to identify multiple speakers in the transcription?
For multiple speaker files we will require a video copy of the interview. This may received on hard copy DVD or via digital transfer through our FTP.

In what format will I receive my transcript?
Our transcriptionists use Microsoft® Word. For a standard transcript we use Courier New 12-point font. If you prefer to use a different format or your own template, we are happy to work to your specifications.

We will e-mail a copy of the completed transcription to any number of recipients. If you require a printout of your transcript, we can supply that at 10¢ a page plus the cost of shipping.

Is my transcription proofed?
Every transcription is proofed by the typist and again by another employee and always against the entire recording. Our “complete double check” process ensures far less errors than others who proof without the recording or only “spot check”.

What forms of payment do you accept?
We accept checks, money orders, Visa, Mastercard, & American Express.

How soon will I have to pay?
We provide different terms for different businesses depending on volume, however, as a standard we ask for payment upon completion for first time and/or one time customers and will give returning customers up to two weeks.

How do I get my material to you?
You may upload your digital files directly to our FTP site by clicking on “Upload” from our main page.
